ABOUT
The Southwest Drag Film Festival is a first-of-its-kind event
that will invite creatives across the country to celebrate the intersection of two beloved art forms. Drag artists (and those who love them) may submit films of any kind (short film, documentary, music video, etc.) with a duration between 3 and 12 minutes for consideration. The result will be a 2-hour showcase of the most memorable pieces, selected by a panel of their peers. Our inaugural show will also feature a special guest appearance by one of the breakout stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race, to present the award for Best In Show.
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
VENUS AURA is a drag performer, host, and producer. Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, her career aspiration is to highlight the incredible drag New Mexico has to offer.
HAUS OF AURA productions have featured dozens of entertainers representing unique facets of drag, including celebrity guest headliners from RuPaul’s Drag Race and The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula.
